First Thoughts Regarding Assignment 4- Gardens.
With the resent spell of really bad weather I've found myself sitting and watching the wildlife in my garden and wondering how the hell they manage in such freezing weather to just keep going, the result of this was that I went out and puts some food and water down so as to help them as much as I could. When I sat back again to watch them come in to feed it got me thinking about my 4th assignment which will focus on the field of conservation in Gardens. Basically what I'm aiming at here is what we can all do in our own green spaces no matter how big or small they maybe to encourage and protect wildlife. Only yesterday I saw in a paper an article taking about how the countries Butterfly population has been badly effected due to changing climate conditions and loss of habitats, in it the reporter when onto explain how by simply having more of the right kinds of plants to first feed the Caterpillar and then the Butterflies we could produce a noticeable turn around in there fortunes in no time. This is the kind of things I'm talking about by encouraging people and showing them that little changes to there gardens can have big overall effects we can all make a different's. The question is though what kind of photo's are going to work best to encourage people that they can help? Right now I'm thinking to starting by simply illustrating the kind of things that you can do to help wildlife in your garden and then capturing as many different species as I can to show that it really can work. I suppose in essence I'm documenting my progress in this area.
