Wetland Conservation Vision

Found a very relevant site full of all kinds of information about wetland habitat and how much we've lost of this vital area over the year, follow this link and you'll see for yourself www.wetlandvision.org.uk. What I like about what they've got to say is that they've got a clear plan working with other groups like the RSPB and the Wetland Trust to bring back as much of the wetland as they possibly can because they feel that it has a place in our modern world that can make a real difference to people's life from helping control water levels during high rainfall and flood to retaining carbon emissions (I was surprised about this fact as I never thought about this as a use) to just being a place where people can relax and enjoy the wildlife.
If you follow this link www.wetlandvision.org.uk you'll find the full document outlining all of the issues and plans they have for the future of our wetlands. I wouldn't necessarily call it eye opening stuff but it'll give you a slightly different perspective on where we stand conservation wise and where they think we need to be to continue the great improvements that have already been made.
