Once again I find myself starting a new course with a sense of excitement with whats to come but also this time a little concern because for this course their isn't really an structure to it to begin with. In the previous level 3 course which I only recently finish you had to set your own major project (which I really enjoyed) because it gave you a chance to focus on a subject you could really get your teeth in to but at the same time there was still a relative small amount of set out structure to guide you a long the way. This time after receiving the course material I was at first surprised at the fact that the whole course was going to be designed by myself and my tutor, I understand this'll help my development as a photographer because it gives me complete freedom to explore subjects that I find interesting but for some reason I also find myself worrying at the same time that the subjects I come up with might not carry enough weight to produce the best level of work possible throughout. On the other hand I'm exited because I really don't know where my work is going to lead me, this is what I feel I should focus on right now and just see where my creativity and tutor lead me. For some reason I'm finding it hard to get started this time, I think its because usually I take a couple of weeks away from photography when I finish a course but because of prices rises in the future I've gone straight into this one meaning I still feel I need a little break, hopefully the planning stages will give me the time to refresh myself before I dive into the projects fully.
