Taken Ideas A Stage Further.

Now that I've come up with a few basic idea's I need to take it a stage further and dig a little deeper to really focus what I want to do with this course. To do this my tutor recommended taking the idea on the outside of my mind map (my map) and trying to expand on these focusing on the way these points make me feel and what I actually mean by each point. When I look at my map I see a theme running through a lot of my thoughts, this beginning the idea of structure, pattern and rhythm that surround us whether we know it or not, so with this in mind I produced a second map (second map) to delve further into what I mean by this idea.

A few of the thoughts I've mention in this second map can be seen in the above photo, taken at a firework display you can see the pattern created from the chaos of the exposition and to me it creates this idea of there being meaning and order behind even such a violent event. Although this is a more man made representation of what I'm thinking of looking at I still feel I'd like to more focus on the natural world and this idea, as I've said before my love of the natural world was one of the first reasons I took up photography so returning to this field to me at this point seems like a natural progression because now I can take alot of what I've learned about photography and the style's that appeal to me and produce much better work then I would of say 4-5 years ago. I know this isn't going to be easy as a subject chose but after all if you don't push yourself how can you ever improve.
