Idea For My Approach To National Park Conservation.

The problem with looking at conservation within our National Parks is that there such huge areas to cover and there pretty much fully established these days so that its only general maintenance of the landscapes that takes place, so the issue to address here is how to approach this area to encourage continued protection? I don't really want to go down the same lines as I want each assignment to be different and individual but have the theme of conservation at there heart. With National Parks it tends to be the landscapes that have meant they have become protected under this scheme whether because of there shear beauty or the fact that its a landscape that is very limited in this country meaning it offers some very unique habitats. What this means for me is it offers a very diverse range of photo opportunities from mountains to moorlands and everything in between but I'll still need to create images that have a strong message, I can't just rely on a good landscape shot.
So how am I going to approach this section, by looking at it along the lines of I want to encourage people to get out and embrace and enjoy the beauty of what the British countryside has to offer because the best way I see to continue conserving the national park systems is to get more and more people out there taking advantage of the freedom these landscapes offer to everyone pretty much free of charge in a time when money is tight. To do this I'm going to use an idea I've had a play around with once before in a previous course based around the work of Abelardo Morell and his Camera Obscure photos. What he did was by blacking out windows in a room and leaving only a small gap for the light to pass through he could project an image on to the facing wall of the view outside below are a few examples of his work but you can find more on his site .abelardomorell.net.

What I like about these images is the way it brings the outside into our modern life's creating an interesting perspective on the world we inhabit. I know it looks a little strange because the projected image appears upside down but he new that if he introduced a lens for the light to pass through (much like how our eye works) the image would be flipped right way up. My plan then is to do something similar using Photoshop and layering techniques to create images that work in a similar way that I hope will make you feel like getting away from our surrounding at home/work and out into the national parks and all that they offer. I'm hoping if I can find the right combination of photos the results could in theory be some of the best work I've produced so far in this course.
