New RSPB Campaign.
Over the past few weeks the RSPB have started a tv campaign with the clever title of Giving Nature A Home. Here they want to encourage people to start making there gardens or green spaces more wildlife friendly as right now the RSPB studies show and other research that bird and other life we tend to see around our homes is really taking a hammering. This is down to a few different issues like bad prolonged winters and the fact that more and more of our gardens are disappearing under concrete and new builds meaning less habitat for many species. The hope with this campaign is that more people will be encourage to do things like put up nest boxes, put out food during the winter and then continue throughout the rest of the year so as to provide a constant food source or leave a area of your garden to run wild giving a sanctuary for any form of life to make its home. These are just the kind of things I want to encourage with my work on Gardens for my next assignment but for now check out their site at rspb.org.uk and follow the links for Giving Nature A Home to get involved and see what you can do to help.
